Source: Charlotte MLS Pushes Back Announcement On Name, Colors

Charlotte’s MLS team name, colors and logo were "expected to be released this month, but the team is now pushing back that announcement," according to a source cited by Alex Andrejev of the CHARLOTTE OBSERVER. The source explained that the "timing of the coronavirus pandemic and nationwide protests" are "reasons why Charlotte MLS has not yet dropped its official team name and colors." The source also confirmed that COVID-19 "has not impacted the team’s projected launch" during the '21 MLS season, but said that the pandemic has "made staffing its front office harder" (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 6/25).
