MAGIC JOHNSON appeared on ABC's “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last night in a surprise Zoom chat with critical care nurse MIKE KEARSE, an avid Lakers fan. As part of the Everyday Heroes campaign from health tech company Philips, Kearse received $10,000. JIMMY KIMMEL: "They're also going to send gift packages to your co-workers in Atlanta to help with their healthy routines." Johnson presented Kearse with an autographed “Nurse Mike” Lakers jersey, adding he would fly Kearse and his family to a future Lakers home game, "and you get to take the boys to Disneyland." Kimmel: "Nobody better than Magic Johnson" (“Jimmy Kimmel Live,” ABC, 6/16).

NAMES: The Bulls and BMO Harris will "donate 10,000 face coverings made of upcycled material from surplus Bulls t-shirts to community organizations." BMO will also "donate 10,000 limited-edition hats designed by Chicago artist Sentrock in tandem with the face coverings" (NBCSPORTSCHICAGO.com, 6/16)....Dolphins QB TUA TAGOVAILOA is "establishing a scholarship fund to benefit Saint Louis School in Honolulu." Tagovailoa, who graduated from Saint Louis in '17, is "establishing a permanent $300,000 scholarship endowment at the school, and giving out an additional four scholarships over the next four years" (MIAMI HERALD, 6/17).
