NBPA Exec Dir MICHELE ROBERTS is "joining the board of a major marijuana company at the same time reports are surfacing that players will not be tested for cannabis and other recreational drugs when they convene to wrap up the season in Orlando next month." Roberts will be the "first female board member of the national cannabis company Cresco Labs." Roberts said that she is "committed to supporting the company’s social responsibility efforts to 'better both individual lives and underrepresented communities'" (BOSTON GLOBE, 6/12).

NAMES: A movie about former NFLer DOUG WILLIAMS, who was the first African-American QB to win a Super Bowl, is "in the works from producer WILL PACKER." The biopic will "chronicle Williams’ career and his journey to the top of the NFL" (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 6/11)....The Magic have a new partnership with Florida Technical College and the two are "wasting no time working together in the community." The Magic and FTC will join with Magic F JONATHAN ISAAC and Project Life to "help provide food assistance to Central Florida families" (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 6/12).
