NetsGC NBA 2K League Players Will Use Glasses to Reduce Eye Strain

NetsGC players will be given computer gaming glasses to reduce eye strain by blocking out blue light from screens thanks to a partnership between Zenni and the Brooklyn Nets affiliate in the NBA 2K League.

As the official team eyewear of NetsGC, Zenni’s logo will appear on the jerseys of NetsGC players’ in-game avatars. The company’s branding will also appear on the team’s virtual court and courtside signage.

“In competitive gaming, players are always looking for a competitive edge, and reducing eye strain is an important aspect in improving overall gaming performance,” Josh Pruss, head of NetsGC business operations, said in a press release. “We’re excited to have Zenni as NetsGC’s Official Eyewear Partner and work alongside them to elevate the importance of eye protection and eye health within the gaming community.”

Zenni will sponsor the #OG2CENTS podcast hosted by NetsGC general manager and coach Ivan Curtiss, and be promoted through NetsGC social media posts on game day. Those posts will include a new highlights series featuring the best in-game blocks by NetsGC players.

This deal marks Zenni’s first in the NBA 2K League, but the company already has an eyewear partnership with the Golden Guardians, a League of Legends franchise owned by the Golden State Warriors.
