Top Execs Form New Consultancy: Leverage Marketing Advisors

A group of heavyweight brand, agency and sponsorship marketers are "pooling their experience and connections to form a new sports marketing consultancy" called Leverage Marketing Advisors, with the largely virtual shop "positioning itself as a C-level consultancy," according to Terry Lefton in this week's SPORTS BUSINESS JOURNAL. LMA was "coalesced by BEN STURNER, whose Leverage Agency will operate as a sister shop." The principals include former Emirates Head of Sponsorship ROGER DUTHIE, former Intel Senior VP & CMO STEVE FUND, former Citi Managing Dir of Global Marketing MARK INGALL, former AT&T Exec Dir of Sponsorships TIM MCGHEE, former Lycamobile Head of Global Sponsorships OMAR KHAN and former Publicis Global Client Leader CHRIS RAYNER. McGhee said of the venture, "The idea is solving top-level marketing problems with top-level people." The group's first client is EPL club Tottenham, for which LMA "has been trying to sell a stadium title sponsorship" (SPORTS BUSINESS JOURNAL, 6/1 issue).
