Former Lagardere Sports, CAA Sports and IMG executive ANDY PIERCE has been named a special advisor to Bruin Sports Capital. Pierce, who most recently served as president of Lagardere Sports through the end of '19, will be part of the Bruin team that analyzes acquisition opportunities for the company. Bruin's most recent round of fundraising brought in $600M of new money to invest from CVC and The Jordan Company. Pierce previously worked with BSC Founder GEORGE PYNE and Partner DAVID ABRUTYN when they were at IMG. Bruin's portfolio of businesses includes Deltatre, Engine Shop, Two Circles and other global companies (Michael Smith, THE DAILY).

MOVING ON UP: The Broncos promoted Dir of Player Personnel MATT RUSSELL to VP/Player Personnel. The team also promoted the following: MARK THEWES to VP/Football Operations & Compliance; TONY LAZZARO to Senior Dir of Football Technology & Research; DARREN MOUGEY to Assistant Dir of College Scouting; KARL SCHREINER to Dir of Football Informations Systems; SCOTT FLASKA to Senior Manager of Football Analytics; RICHARD HILDEBRAND to Senior Software Engineer; and EMILY KUEHLER to Data Scientist (DENVER POST, 5/30).
