CSE has signed a partnership with Richard Petty to lead the marketing and licensing endeavors for the NASCAR icon. CSE Exec VP/Marketing Dave Riggs and agent Vinny D'Assaro will lead the team representing him at the Atlanta-based agency. CSE signed NBC's Kyle Petty, Richard's son, in '18. "CSE will be working closely with Richard and his family on strategic collaborations, long-term partnerships and unique branding opportunities that are authentic to Richard and the Petty brand," Riggs said. "We will also develop a social strategy for him." CSE is exploring endorsements and other commercial opportunities, speaking engagements and licensing agreements, as well as media opportunities. That includes books, films and television. "Richard is an iconic figure," Riggs said. "Everyone knows his trademark look -- cowboy hat, sunglasses and cowboy boots. However, licensing isn’t limited to strictly apparel and accessories. Through his family, Richard Petty Motorsports, and Petty’s Garage, he has done some other licensing deals in the automotive space." The Petty family had been exploring representation for Richard Petty, and Riggs said Kyle Petty recommended CSE. Riggs: "We plan to pair Richard and Kyle Petty whenever there is an opportunity to enhance marketing programs."
