Nationals' Dave Martinez Designs "Stay In The Fight" Masks

Nationals manager Dave Martinez partnered with sports apparel maker BreakingT to design "Stay in the Fight" masks. All proceeds from the masks, "available in packs of three for $35, benefit Direct Relief." BreakingT first "partnered with Martinez in October, when it made 'Stay in the Fight' mugs and T-shirts during the Nationals’ playoff run." Meanwhile, the Capitals, Mystics and Wizards yesterday released three new T-shirt designs to "raise money for Monumental Sports and Entertainment’s 'Feeding the Frontlines' fund." The fund already has "helped deliver more than 7,500 meals to health-care workers and first responders" (WASHINGTON POST, 5/14).

OTHER INITIATIVES: MSG Co. and Chase this week sent food to 14 different NYPD precincts and zones around NYC, accounting for 2,450 meals. Through three weeks, the MSG and Chase initiative has served over 10,000 meals worth over $500,000 to frontline workers from hospitals, fire houses and police precincts (MSG)....Heat F Udonis Haslem spent part of yesterday "handing out a week’s worth of groceries at Biscayne Park in Edgewater to 100 families" (South Florida SUN SENTINEL, 5/14).
