NFL Approves Two New Inspire Change Grants, Renews Seven

The NFL has announced "two new Inspire Change grants and seven grant renewals" totaling $3.5M approved by the NFL's player-owner social justice working group, according to Aaron Wilson of the HOUSTON CHRONICLE. The new grants "went toward the Council on Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO, Inc.) and Success for All." CLEO "focuses on helping students from underrepresented communities to succeed in law school and beyond," while Success for All supports programs to "improve education for at-risk students through 12 schools" in Nashville with 6,000 students. The NFL also "renewed grants for the Anti-Recidivism Coalition in California, Big Brother Big Sisters of America, Gideon's Promise, Inspire Change, Operation Hope, Vera Institute of Justice and VOTE NOLA." Meanwhile, in partnership with the Players Coalition, the NFL recently announced a $3.05M donation to "support COVID-19 relief in predominantly African American communities as part of the NFL’s social justice funding programs" (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 5/13).
