Mark Lazarus Adds Oversight Of Peacock Amid NBCU Reorganization

NBCUniversal Broadcast, Cable, Sports & News Chair MARK LAZARUS, who "currently oversees NBC Sports Group and the company's local stations, will now oversee the company's entertainment businesses as well," including the new streaming service Peacock, according to Weprin & Barr of the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. Lazarus will become chair of NBCU television and streaming, a "new unit that combines NBC Entertainment, the entertainment cable TV channels, the sports group, local stations and Peacock." Under the new entertainment and streaming structure, NBC Sports Group President PETE BEVACQUA will continue to report to Lazarus. Meanwhile, Telemundo Chair CESAR CONDE now "will oversee NBC News, MSNBC and CNBC" as NBCU News Group Chair, "succeeding ANDY LACK, who will be leaving the company at the end of the month" (HOLLYWOODREPORTER.com, 5/4).
