Purdue's Jason Butikofer Set To Become Univ. Of Washington COO

Purdue Deputy AD JASON BUTIKOFER has "accepted a position" as the Univ. of Washington athletic department's new COO, according to Mike Carmin of the Lafayette JOURNAL & COURIER. Butikofer will leave Purdue "after three years" at the school. His last day is April 8. Butikofer served as a "day-to-day administrator for football and men’s basketball and will have similar duties at Washington," where he will work "across the department on strategic initiatives with a focus on fundraising, student-athlete welfare, sports performance and sports medicine." Butikofer "came to Purdue from Southern Utah," where he was hired as AD in August '15. He also has worked at Army, Arizona State and the Univ. of Minnesota in a "variety of administrative and support roles" (Lafayette JOURNAL & COURIER, 3/28).
