Knicks Owner James Dolan, Charles Oakley Ordered Into Mediation

Knicks Owner JAMES DOLAN and former NBAer CHARLES OAKLEY have been "ordered into mediation by a federal appeals court," according to Justin Tasch of the N.Y. POST. The mediation is "scheduled to take place via telephone on March 31, and both Dolan and Oakley must participate." Last month, Oakley "appealed the dismissal of his civil lawsuit" against Dolan and MSG. Oakley sued for "defamation, assault and false imprisonment" stemming from a February '17 incident in which Oakley was arrested and thrown out of MSG following an "altercation with security" (N.Y. POST, 3/23). In N.Y., Stefan Bondy notes three hours "must be allotted for the mediation, and history suggests it will contain some unpleasantries" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 3/23).
