The Lakers have announced a multi-season sponsorship agreement with Hollywood-based First Entertainment Credit Union that will make them the team's official credit union. As part of the agreement, First Entertainment also is launching an individual partnership with Lakers C Anthony Davis, who, with the credit union, will commit to helping the financial literacy of the L.A. Community. First Entertainment and Davis also collaborated on a newly released content video titled, "All Dreams Apply Here" (Lakers). In L.A., Eduardo Gonzalez notes Davis is the "first official ambassador in First Entertainment’s 53-year history," and the collaboration is a "big step for Davis’ overall goals to immerse himself in the L.A. community and entertainment space." He will "spread the word on financial literacy and the entrepreneurial benefits of working with First Entertainment." For First Entertainment, although clients must reside in L.A. County, the addition of Davis will allow the financial institution to "expand its brand outside of the county and allow it to work on creative projects with the Lakers" (L.A. TIMES, 3/5). Excel Sports Management’s Brand Marketing division negotiated the deals with the Lakers and Davis on behalf of First Entertainment (Andrew Levin, THE DAILY).
