Cubs 3B Kris Bryant said he enjoyed being mic'd up during ESPN's all-access Spring Training game Monday, calling it "one of the most fun games I've ever played." In Chicago, Paul Sullivan notes Bryant and 1B Anthony Rizzo being mic'd up led to to some "interesting conversations" with the ESPN commentators. Bryant: "It was awesome, a perfect time to do it. Spring training games are normally relaxed. It was pretty cool to have two (players) doing it too." Bryant, on whether this could work in the regular season said, "Probably not. ... As much as it is awesome and the fans would love it, I don't think it would work" (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 3/4).

ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES: In Dallas, Tim Cowlishaw writes with Tony Romo's new CBS deal, there are "no salary caps in play." This is "TV money." Romo "might be paid more than twice what Troy Aikman is getting at Fox," but one should not "weep for Troy too long." His contract will expire at some point, and he will have "plenty of negotiating power on his side." Cowlishaw: "I don't see any downside to this deal other than the fact football analysts at every level, hoping to make themselves into the next Romo, will be predicting plays like crazy" this year (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 3/4).

POPULAR CHOICE: USA TODAY's Scott Gleeson notes the NCAA Tournament Selection Sunday show is "sticking with a popular format" this month, as CBS will "lead with the 68 teams revealed in bracket quadrants." In '18, teams were "unveiled alphabetically, and fans were furious." Greg Gumbel "will host" the show on March 15 alongside analysts Clark Kellogg and Seth Davis (USA TODAY, 3/4).
