ESPN promoted VP/Programming & Acquistions ILAN BEN-HANAN to Senior VP/Programming & Acquisitions in charge of the company's college networks -- ACC Network, SEC Network and Longhorn Network. Ben-Hanan was a member of SBJ's "Forty Under 40" class of '17. His new position was formerly held by ROSALYN DURANT, who took a job as Walt Disney World Resort Senior VP/Operations for Disney Springs, ESPN Wide World of Sports. Ben-Hanan is well versed in ESPN's college business, having been in charge of college football and basketball scheduling at times during his 18 years there. Ben-Hanan will stay in L.A., but will travel frequently to ESPN offices in Bristol and Charlotte, as well as to Austin (Michael Smith, SBJ College).

EXECS: The Southwestern Athletic Conference approved a five-year contract extension of SWAC Commissioner DR. CHARLES MCCLELLAND that runs through the '25 academic year (SWAC)....The Single-A Carolina League Myrtle Beach Pelicans promoted Assistant GM KRISTIN CALL to Associate GM and Dir of Sales RYAN CANNELLA to Assistant GM of Sales (Myrtle Beach Pelicans)....The Aspire Group named ERNESTO HERNANDEZ Sales & Service Consultant at Santa Clara Univ., GREG DRYL Group Sales Consultant at Rutgers and CRAIG CUGNO Dir of Sales & Service at UConn. The company also has promoted Ticket Sales & Service Consultant PAOLO DEGUZMAN to Senior Sales Consultant at the Univ. of Portland and Sales Consultant HANNAH DARI to Senior Sales Consultant at Army West Point (Aspire Group).
