Adidas Celebrates Mahomes At HQ; K.C. Brewery Debuting New Ale

Adidas has put up a "massive banner highlighting the many accomplishments" of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes at its U.S. HQ in Portland, according to Pete Grathoff of the K.C. STAR. The message featured on the banner also is the "new commercial from Adidas," and the company went to Whitehouse, Texas, to film it (K.C. STAR, 2/15). Meanwhile, in K.C., Grathoff & Smith noted Boulevard Brewing Co. put out a special "Crown Town Ale" to celebrate the team's Super Bowl victory. This new beer "makes no mention of Chiefs or the Super Bowl, because of copyright issues." Boulevard VP/Marketing Natalie Gershon said that the beer "will be released in the spring." Boulevard "isn't the only Kansas City company with plans to release a special adult beverage." The McCormick Distilling Co. said that 360 Vodka "will release a World Championship Chiefs bottle to commemorate the season" (K.C. STAR, 2/15).
