Adam Silver’s Vision for NBA Arenas Comes Into Sharper Focus as Intel Partners With the Kings for R&D

Intel will use Golden 1 Center, home of the Sacramento Kings, as a research and development center to drive broadcast innovations in sports. The arena is Intel’s first R&D site inside an NBA venue, which commissioner Adam Silver has likened to broadcast studios

As part of the partnership, the Kings will implement Intel’s True View volumetric video system for the 2020-21 season. True View’s 5K cameras capture 360-degree views and volumetric data from every conceivable angle to create 3D replays and livestreams. True View footage will be shared on the scoreboard at Golden 1 Center and via the Kings’ mobile app.
