In Nashville, Mike Organ notes Arkansas-based Simmons Bank has "agreed to an eight-year partnership" to title sponsor the Korn Ferry Tour's Nashville Golf Open. The newly named Simmons Bank Open for The Snedeker Foundation will be held April 30-May 3. Golfer Brandt Snedeker has expressed interest in bringing a PGA Tour tournament to his hometown of Nashville, and he said that securing a title sponsor for the KFT event will "go a long way toward accomplishing that goal" (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 2/12).

ONESIE OOPSIE: Target has apologized for misidentifying the mascot for the Univ. of Minnesota as the "Badgers" on a maroon-and-gold onesie being sold in its stores. The words "Minnesota Badgers" reference the nickname of the Univ. of Wisconsin. Twenty-four onesies "went on shelves at four stores" last Sunday and were removed a day later, but "not before two were bought" (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 2/12).

GOING OLD SCHOOL: Coors Light has released a purple can across Canada featuring the Raptors' original logo in honor of the team's 25th anniversary. The cans will be "purple with a red raptor" and are available throughout the country (SURREY NOW-LEADER, 2/11).
