ESPN Expanding "All-Access" To All Four Spring Training Telecasts

ESPN is expanding its "All-Access" programming during Spring Training this season, as the net will dedicate coverage to all four of its Spring Training telecasts. ESPN last year showcased the Red Sox over two days on "All-Access" to much success, prompting the net to discuss how to build upon that momentum for this season. ESPN reached out to MLB and its clubs expressing interest in reprising "All-Access," and there was mutual interest from the Red Sox to be featured again. The programming will continue to document the complete gameday experience for MLB clubs across ESPN's TV, digital and social media platforms. Details are still to be worked out regarding possible new elements this season, but "All-Access" will provide viewers with special access and behind-the-scenes content, including players, managers and execs being mic'd up, in-game interviews, features and other content leading up to, and through, the games. The first "All-Access" telecast will be Angels-Cubs on March 2, followed by Red Sox-Yankees on March 3, Cardinals-Mets on March 4 and Red Sox-Braves on March 6 from the Braves' new Spring Training facility. In total, ESPN and ESPN+ will combine to carry 10 Spring Training games in March, with six games available live on the OTT service.
