Jets LB BRANDON COPELAND won the NFLPA's annual Alan Page Community Award Thursday for his "work to help underprivileged children." Copeland "organized a Christmas-time shopping spree for hundreds of kids in need in New Jersey" and "rounded up players across the NFL to do the same." Copeland "received a $100,000 donation for his charity of choice upon receiving the NFLPA's highest honor" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 1/31).

NAMES: Predators President & CEO SEAN HENRY announced the "$1 Million in One Month" campaign to "help fund 500 need-based and merit-based scholarships for students" at Tennessee State. Henry Said that the campaign, which begins Saturday, "will be the first of many initiatives between the Predators and TSU" (Nashville TENNESSEAN)...
