Fifteen NFL Teams Have Social Media Accounts Hacked By Group

Nearly half of the teams in the NFL "appeared to have their Twitter accounts hacked" yesterday afternoon, according to Paige Leskin of BUSINESS INSIDER. Fifteen verified accounts belonging to NFL teams have "tweeted out strange messages, and had their profile photos and banners disappear." The apparent hacks "appear to have all happened within the span of a couple hours." A group called OurMine is "taking responsibility on Twitter for the hacks, which the group says also included some of the Instagram and Facebook accounts of the affected NFL teams." Many of the hacked Twitter accounts posted messages, reading: "We're back (OurMine). We are here to show people that everything is hackable." Those tweets came after the group hacked the Bears and the NFL over the weekend. The 15 hacked teams include the 49ers and Chiefs (BUSINESSINSIDER.com, 1/27).
