World Surf League CEO SOPHIE GOLDSCHMIDT is leaving the organization after 2 1/2 years, and will be replaced by WSL President of Content, Media & Studios ERIK LOGAN. WSL Owner DIRK ZIFF in a statement said with the “converging trends in sports, media and entertainment, we mutually agreed it was time to make a change.” In her own email, Goldschmidt did not give a reason or destination, only saying she is “looking forward to my next adventure.” WSL said she would join the WSL’s advisory board (Ben Fischer, THE DAILY).

ON THE MOUND: The United Shore Professional Baseball League named former Red Wings Premium Sales Manager DAN GRIESBAUM JR. VP/Tickets & Premium Sales. The USPBL also promoted the following: KATIE PAGE to Senior Dir of Marketing & PR; BRIAN PIPER to Dir of Ticket Operations; JONATHAN HEBEL to Dir of Premium Sales & Service; DEREK NICHOLS to Dir of Groups Sales & Service; NICK COWLES to Dir of Finance & Accounting; HEATHER COOK to Community Relations Manager; ABBEY ROBINSON to Merchandise Manager; and DAN VEIT to Corporate Partnership Services Manager (USPBL).
