Brian France Re-Emerging As Head Of New Investment Firm

Former NASCAR Chair & CEO BRIAN FRANCE is re-emerging professionally, founding a new private capital investment firm called Silver Falcon Capital. The Charlotte-based company has yet to formally announce its formation, but France has set up a LinkedIn that states he will be its Chair & CEO. Silver Falcon also will serve as a philanthropic arm for him and his family. It is not yet clear exactly which fields Silver Falcon will be investing in. Former NASCAR exec PAUL BROOKS and Charlotte-based investor AUSTIN TATE both have listed themselves as partners on their LinkedIn accounts. France is re-establishing himself after stepping down from his role with NASCAR last year following a DWI incident. France has made some public appearances recently, including being honored with his wife, AMY, at the Angel Ball event put on by Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research in late October. Nonprofit ShareCharlotte also did an interview with France on its website in late November asking him about his plans to do more philanthropic work in the city. He said, "Charlotte is a very special community for me and my family. I spent decades working and living here while at NASCAR and my current venture, Silver Falcon Capital, is headquartered in Charlotte. We look forward to working closely with the community to help those in need and to continue Charlotte's ascension as one of the great American cities. My commitment to the Queen City has never been stronger."
