Raiders, Intermountain Healthcare Sign Deal To Rename Henderson HQ

Intermountain Healthcare has "signed a founding sponsorship deal with the Raiders," which renames the team's practice facility and HQ in Henderson the Intermountain Healthcare Performance Center, according to Mick Akers of the LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL. The site is "slated to open in June." Terms of the deal "were not disclosed." The deal also "names Intermountain Healthcare the official health care partner of the Raiders and a founding sponsor" of Allegiant Stadium. Intermountain Healthcare is a regional system of 24 hospitals and 215 clinics that has "operations in Nevada, Utah and Idaho." The Raiders and Intermountain Healthcare said that they will "focus on new initiatives aimed at improving community engagement, health outcomes and overall well-being for individuals, families and communities" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 12/4).

COMING TOGETHER: The REVIEW-JOURNAL's Akers notes the under-construction 335,000-square-foot Raiders HQ in Henderson is "slated to cost north" of $75M to build. The facility will "feature a 150,000-square-foot field house and a 50,000-square-foot performance center." The structure also will "feature one-and-a-half football fields with artificial turf." A seating area where a "few thousand people could fit is planned for the field house." The Raiders are constructing their Henderson HQ to be "open to the community, moving away from the model most NFL franchises have used" in their HQ and team training facilities (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 12/5).
