EVERYONE LOVES A WINNER: The CFL Winnipeg Blue Bombers said that their Grey Cup Championship merchandise is "flying off the shelves," putting them on pace to "sell the most" in league history. In Winnipeg, Paul Friesen notes as of yesterday, Blue Bombers fans have "scooped up more than 3,500" Grey Cup Champion T-shirts and "more than 3,000" hats (WINNIPEG SUN, 12/4).

ROOTED INTEREST: In Buffalo, Matt Glynn wrote Ravens-Bills on "SNF" will be the "M&T Bank Bowl," as the bank has official ties with both teams. M&T is "based in Buffalo and is the official bank of the Bills," but it also has its "mid-Atlantic headquarters in Baltimore, and a sponsorship deal with the Ravens" including title sponsorship of their stadium. Glynn: "The bank has no interest -- get it? -- in alienating customers in either market. So you won't catch M&T taking an official side" (BUFFALO NEWS, 12/3).
