Lagardere Sports Tabs Joel Segal To Lead North American Business Ops

Longtime NFL agent Joel Segal has been named the new CEO North America of Lagardere Sports, where he will oversee all North American business operations, effective immediately. Segal, who has headed up Lagardere's NFL player representation practice since '10, will continue running that division day-to-day. In his new role, he also will oversee the agency's brand consulting and activation division -- Lagardere Plus -- as well as its golf and other team sports practices. Segal is replacing David White, whose title was Managing Dir/Americas. White is returning to London and will continue as Global President/Media. Segal will continue to work out of Lagardere Sports' U.S. HQ in N.Y., reporting to Lagardere Sports & Entertainment Global CEO Ugo Valensi.
