Philadelphia 76ers and Fox Bet Form Sponsorship Partnership

The Philadelphia 76ers have signed a sponsorship agreement with mobile sports betting platform Fox Bet. The deal is the first of its kind between an NBA team and mobile sports betting operator.

Fox Bet will sponsor radio broadcasts of 76ers games as well as the team’s hype video that plays at the Wells Fargo Center heading into the fourth quarter of home games. Fox Bet will also have its branding appear on signs at Wells Fargo Center as well as the team’s digital and social media channels.

Fox Sports partnered with Canadian gambling firm The Stars Group to develop Fox Bet, which is currently live in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Last December, the NBA named Fox Bet an authorized sports betting operator, which gives the sportsbook rights to access official league data and partner with NBA teams.

"Recognizing the passionate 76ers fan base, FOX Bet and our team look forward to amplifying a multi-tiered activation approach by creating dynamic, digital content and continuing to drive engagement with our brand, team and league," Adam Davis, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment chief commercial officer, said in a press release. HBSE owns the 76ers.

The NBA does not allow teams to promote sportsbooks unless the team plays in a state that has legalized sports betting and the sportsbook must be authorized by the league. This deal between Fox Bet and Philadelphia comes just a week after NBC Sports Philadelphia announced it’s alternative betting-themed broadcasts of 76ers games would be returning this season.
