Twins Bring Back Alternate Baby Blue Uniforms For '20 Season
The Twins are "bringing back their popular baby blue uniforms" in '20, according to Betsy Helfand of the ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS. The alternates, which will be "worn both at home and on the road, will be similar to the uniforms the club wore on the road" during the '70s and '80s. The Twins over the weekend had "teased the launch of the uniforms" by "turning their logo baby blue across their social media channels." The club also "introduced a 60th anniversary patch," which will be worn on uniforms and caps in '20, and "reintroduced the 'Minnie and Paul,' left sleeve patch" (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 11/26). In Minneapolis, Michael Rand writes, "If you’re trying to figure out what people think of the baby blues, it completely depends on where you look." Three out of every four Star Tribune commenters on the paper's website "did not like the baby blues," while three of every four Twitter responses to the team's post were "in favor of the retro alternative look" (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 11/26).
