Kanter has been outspoken in his criticism of Turkish President Recep Tayyip ErdoganENES KANTER

Celtics C ENES KANTER, an "advocate for human rights in Turkey and prominent critic of Turkish President RECEP TAYYIP ERDOGAN," visited the U.S. Capitol yesterday and spoke at a news conference where Sens. EDWARD MARKEY (D-Mass.) and RON WYDEN (D-Ore.) introduced the “Turkey Human Rights Promotion Act.” Kanter will "become a U.S. citizen" in '21 (USA TODAY, 11/13).

SKY'S THE LIMIT: NBC's "TODAY" profiled 11-year-old skateboarder SKY BROWN, with the net's DYLAN DREYER noting she "already has more than 400,000 followers on Instagram, big-name sponsorships and she's expected to become one of the youngest Olympians ever." Brown would become the "youngest Summer Olympian in 50 years" for Great Britain. Brown: "I want to be in the Olympics to inspire girls because I feel like when they see me, this little girl does these crazy tricks, and they will probably think that they can do it too" ("Today," NBC, 11/11).

NAMES: Singer ELLIE GOULDING is "threatening to cancel her performance" at halftime of the Thanksgiving Day Bills-Cowboys game after fans "took to her Instagram to accuse the Salvation Army of trans and homophobia -- and condemn her for supporting the organization." The game "serves as the kickoff for the Salvation Army's yearly Red Kettle Campaign" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 11/13)....USWNT F MEGAN RAPINOE singled out COLIN KAEPERNICK Monday night in her Glamour magazine's Woman of the Year award acceptance speech, saying, "I don't feel like I would be here without" him (WASHINGTON POST, 11/13)....Former NFLer VINCE WILFORK attended the Joslin Diabetes Center's 20th annual High Hopes gala on Saturday night.
