Nike Launches New Saquon Barkley-Inspired Apparel Line

The collection also references Barkley's roots in the Bronx, where he was bornNIKE

Nike is selling Saquon Barkley's N.Y. roots and "'Superhero' shimmer in a new apparel collection designed around" the Giants RB, according to Mark Wogenrich of the Allentown MORNING CALL. The new collection features a "logo with a lightning bolt fused with Barkley's initials," which is "intended to exemplify Barkley's speed and power." The collection also "references his roots in the Bronx, where Barkley was born" (Allentown MORNING CALL, 11/7). In Pennsylvania, Dustin Hockensmith noted the line is headlined by a short-sleeved hoodie priced at $145, a "Saquon" long-sleeve T-shirt priced at $35 and a hat with Barkley's logo for $28. The collection will become available tomorrow, "marking yet another step forward" in Barkley's broad marketing appeal. Barkley also has endorsements from Pepsi, Campbell's Chunky Soup, Visa, Dunkin' and Panini America (PENNLIVE.com, 11/6).
