Gold Medal-winning U.S. cross-country skier KIKKAN RANDALL on Sunday will be "joining more than 50,000 runners" in the TCS N.Y. Marathon, the "first Randall has ever run." Randall will "use her appearance to bring awareness to AKTIV against Cancer," an organization that aims to "help cancer patients integrate physical activity with treatment" (WASHINGTON POST, 11/1). HONORS & AWARDS: The Minnesota Sports HOF Class of '19 inductees include Univ. of Minnesota women's basketball coach LINDSAY WHALEN, former Saint John's Univ. football coach JOHN GAGLIARDI, longtime hockey player/coach WILLARD IKOLA and former Vikings players RANDY MOSS, RANDALL MCDANIEL and JOHN RANDLE (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 11/1)....CHARLES WOODSON will be inducted into the Packers HOF, along with former teammate AL HARRIS during a banquet on April 18, 2020 in the Lambeau Field Atrium (GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE, 11/1).

LEGAL MATTERS: Former MLBer JOSH HAMILTON is "prohibited from seeing or talking to any of his children for the remainder of the year, according to a temporary protective order filed" last month. Hamilton was arrested Wednesday on "suspicion of injury to a child with intentional bodily injury." Hamilton is "accused of injuring his eldest daughter, who is 14" (Ft. Worth STAR-TELEGRAM, 11/1)....Former World Surf League exec JEFFREY BIZZACK "received a two month prison term for paying bribes" connected to the college admissions cheating scandal (BOSTON GLOBE, 11/1).

NAMES: Sources said that DEREK JETER is "not expected to be involved if a sale is concluded" for his sports blog, The Players' Tribune. Jeter's "day job" as Marlins CEO "leaves him little time for developing his website." Additionally, Jeter Publishing, the "boutique book imprint at Simon & Schuster, appears to be winding down with the release of 'HEARTLESS'" by Baseball HOFer CHIPPER JONES in May -- "one of the few new books on deck" (N.Y. POST, 11/1)....The foundation run by Bengals QB ANDY DALTON and his wife, JJ, has "received nearly $4,000 in donations since it was announced" Tuesday that Dalton would be replaced as the team's starter. Andy and JJ Foundation Managing Dir AMY FLOYD said that the charity has "received 200 donations," more than 95% of which have been for $14, reflecting Dalton's jersey number (ESPN.com, 10/31)....The Fiesta Bowl will donate $1M to Arizona teachers through the Wishes for Teachers program (Fiesta Bowl).
