Eagles Not Thrilled With Being Selected For "All Or Nothing" Show

The Eagles are the fifth NFL team to do have a season chronicled by the Amazon docu-seriesGETTY IMAGES

The Eagles "aren't crazy about the idea" of being the selected as the latest NFL subject of Amazon's "All Or Nothing" docu-series, but they "didn't have a choice," according to Paul Domowitch of the PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER. The show, produced by NFL Films, follows a team "through an entire season and often beyond." The Eagles "got a call from the league shortly before the start of the season, informing them that they had drawn the short straw." Eagles President Don Smolenski said, "There has to be somebody on the show." He added if there are "no volunteers," then the NFL "makes a selection." Smolenski: "In terms of when the league selected us, it's kind of like the schedule. It is what it is, and you deal with it and make the best of it." Domowitch notes the Eagles are the "fifth NFL team to do 'All Or Nothing,'" which "isn't quite as intrusive" as HBO's "Hard Knocks." The NFL "feels strongly" that all-access shows are "important in helping market its brand" (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 10/30).
