Pro Football Hall of Fame, Statespace Assess Cognitive Performance of NFL Greats

The Pro Football Hall of Fame has partnered with software training platform Statespace as part of its new Health Integrative Medicine Program.

Statespace offered “cognitive combine” assessments to Pro Football Hall of Fame members that were present during Enshrinement Week in Canton, Ohio, in August. The assessments were based off results from Statespace's software program that consist of a series of tests evaluating fine motor skills and cognitive performance. The company also administered the same cognitive test to the families of Hall of Fame players who were in attendance.

“We are pleased to continually offer services that improve the lives of our Hall of Famers who have helped build this great game,” David Baker, Pro Football Hall of Fame president and CEO, said in a press release.

Data collected by Statespace during its cognitive combine assessments will be studied as part of the Hall of Fame’s Health Integrative Medicine Program. Statespace also developed a separate training product that is intended for esports players looking to improve their gaming skills.
