Michael Kay Leading Mike Francesa In N.Y.-Area Autumn Radio Ratings

ESPN Radio 98.7 N.Y.'s Michael Kay is in "first place among all stations in the market for men ages 25-54 with an average" of 7.4% of the audience, according to N.Y.-area autumn radio ratings data cited by Neil Best of NEWSDAY. WFAN's Mike Francesa "ranked second at 6.0" for Sept. 12-Oct. 9, the first month of the three-month autumn ratings book. The full book "ends on Dec. 4, but the final numbers for the quarter will not be reported until Dec. 23." The autumn ratings "include over-the-air and live streaming" (NEWSDAY, 10/29). In N.Y., Andrew Marchand notes Francesa actually "finished third without the stream" with a 5.6. Meanwhile, WFAN's "Boomer & Gio" and "Joe & Evan" both continue to "surge to the top of the overall book." WFAN's "Maggie & Bart," with "streaming numbers included, was second in the market" (N.Y. POST, 10/29).
