FOOTWEAR NEWS' Ella Chochrek noted Clippers F Kawhi Leonard last week filed to "trademark two phrases for use on clothing and footwear" with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Leonard seeks to "trademark the phrases 'City Views Over Interviews' and 'What It Do Baby.'" What is "uncertain is whether Leonard has plans in the works" to use the phrases, or if he is simply "being proactive in the wake of an ongoing lawsuit against his former sponsor, Nike" (FOOTWEARNEWS.com, 10/28).

WHAT CAN BROWNE DO FOR YOU? WOMEN'S WEAR DAILY's Obi Anyanwu noted fashion brand Thom Browne and Miami-based retailer Unknwn, which is co-owned by LeBron James, will have a "new collaboration" this holiday season. The nine-piece collection will "launch in-store and online in December after the opening of Unknwn's store" in Miami. The relationship among Browne, James and the Unknwn brand "goes back several seasons," and James is "often spotted wearing the designer's wares" (WWD.com, 10/24).

SNIFF TEST: In San Antonio, W. Scott Bailey noted area fragrance boutique Soular Therapy partnered with the Texans to "develop a signature scent that will be used" in NRG Stadium's renovated luxury suites. The company "collaborated with the Texans' creative team" to produce the Luxe fragrance, a "woody, chypre accord of oud, bergamot and teak" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 10/28).
