After the White Sox reported the sales, the FBI opened a federal investigation into Lee's operationGETTY IMAGES

A Chicago man sold "more than 35,000 tickets" to White Sox home games through StubHub over the course of three seasons from '16-18, generating nearly $1M in revenue. A White Sox exec suspected that BRUCE LEE was "getting help from inside the White Sox organization," and therefore "notified the FBI of the irregularity" last October. That has led to an "ongoing federal investigation" into Lee's operation. White Sox Dir of PR SHEENA QUINN said that the team "won't comment" on the investigation, or "whether the team had identified who may have been helping Lee acquire the tickets" (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 10/26).

NAMES: Cowboys Owner JERRY JONES is donating $1M to the Dallas Independent School District to "help rebuild the football field at Thomas Jefferson High School, nearly a week after the school was devastated by a tornado." Mavericks Owner MARK CUBAN had also pledged to "donate $100,000 to help Dallas ISD schools impacted by the storms." Cuban then tweeted Saturday indicating that he would "match Jones' donation," which he later confirmed (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 10/27)....The NHL Rangers this weekend held the "first of what is likely to be many alumni weekends, targeted at raising money for the organization's youth hockey initiatives that grow the game in the New York area." The "graying Blueshirts took on the elder Bruins, first in Waltham, Mass., on Saturday" and then again yesterday afternoon at TD Garden "in front of about 1,000 fans." The game on Saturday at Bentley Arena "benefitted a couple charities: The Boston Bruins Foundation, along with the Navy SEAL Foundation and the Warrior for Life Fund" (N.Y. POST, 10/28).
