TIMES' KEN BELSON is profiled in the paper's "Tech We're Using" feature, where he writes, "Every morning, I read through a few football websites, like ProFootballTalk, that include good summaries and commentaries of the biggest stories." Belson writes Sports Litigation Alert also is a "great storehouse of cases." Belson: "The endless commercials and gimmicks on television ruin the sports viewing experience. So does all the artificial noise in stadiums. I find this distracting and unneeded. Fans know when to get excited. They don't need to be told" (N.Y. TIMES, 10/24).

HONORS & AWARDS: Hockey HOFer MARTIN BRODEUR was inducted into the Canadian Sports HOF last night, headlining a '19 class that included Gold Medal-winning former skier ALEX BILODEAU, former Canadian women's national team player JAYNA HEFFORD and former CFL Commissioner DOUG MITCHELL (TSN.ca, 10/23)....Washington State announced Basketball HOFer and former men's basketball coach GEORGE RAVELING's name will be "hung from the rafters in Beasley Coliseum."
