Marketplace Roundup

In New Orleans, Jeff Nowak noted Saints LB Demario Davis during the team's Week 3 game against the Seahawks wore a headband with the text "Man of God" on it, but he "never had to pay the NFL fine for the headgear." Davis has since begun selling the headbands "with the proceeds going to charity, capitalizing on the groundswell of support surrounding the initial news." He partnered with St. Dominic's Hospital in Mississippi, with the proceeds "going to their emergency department" (NOLA.com, 10/23).

PLACE YOUR BETS: In Philadelphia, Jeff Blumenthal noted NBC Sports Philadelphia has "added Draft Kings as the sponsor of its halftime show" during 76ers broadcasts and as one of three "new streaming advertisers" -- joining FanDuel and Fulton Bank. The RSN also "added an in-game feature sponsored by Mercedes-Benz and Wilmington University as title sponsor of its Sixers Talk podcast." WPEN-FM and WIP-FM will "amp up Sixers talk, with most of its hosts recording endorsement ads for the variety of sportsbooks and online betting services that are trying to introduce themselves to a male-dominated audience" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 10/23).

FLYING OFF THE SHELVES: In Las Vegas, Rochelle Richards notes the Golden Knights yesterday released the third patch in the five-player collection, and fans are saying that it is "already sold out." The patch featuring Golden Knights G Marc-Andre Fleury went on sale at Smith's locations in the Las Vegas Valley for $9.99, and it is now reselling on Ebay for "upwards of $50" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 10/24).
