The Bucks are "bringing back their black 'Fear the Deer' jerseys" this season, but with a "new twist," according to Matt Velazquez of the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL. The new uniforms will "include striping across the chest and cream-colored numbers." The stripes are "blue, black, green, cream and white, representing what the franchise calls the 'Cream City rainbow.'" The jerseys will be "worn 16 times during the regular season, including on opening night against the Rockets in Houston on Oct. 24." The Bucks will "continue to use their alternate Fear the Deer court when wearing the black uniforms." The combination of jerseys and court will "make its debut at Fiserv Forum on Friday, Dec. 6" when the team hosts the Clippers (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 10/10).
NEW LOOK IN NEW YORK: In N.Y., Kristian Winfield noted the Nets "debuted their Statement Edition jerseys" for this season during their "third annual open practice at Brooklyn Bridge Park." The new jerseys are "part of the Nets' larger brand revamp," as the team also "redesigned the Barclays Center court to give it a more gritty, earthy, gray vibe." The home locker room also was "brought into the 21st century with lockers similar to condo closets." The new "graffiti-print jerseys are another step toward the Nets' overhaul." Graphic designer Eric Haze, who designed the logo for the Statement jerseys, said that the project has been a "work-in-progress since well before the franchise landed" Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant in free agency (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 10/7).
THROWBACK THREADS: In Chicago, Madeline Kenney wrote the Bulls unveiled their new Statement uniforms, and they are "amazing." The "remastered uniforms are a throwback to the Bulls' iconic pinstripe jersey-and-shorts combo worn during the '90s" (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 10/6).
