In Indianapolis, Nathan Brown notes Chip Ganassi Racing's No. 8 car "will return to the NTT IndyCar Series" in '20, with Marcus Ericsson, who drove for Arrow Schmidt Peterson in '19, being announced as the driver of CGR's third car. A source said that Ganassi and Ericsson are in the "process of signing the main sponsor for the No. 8 car for next season." Driver Max Chilton, after being dropped from Ganassi following the '17 season, "took the sponsor of his No. 8 ride, Gallagher, with him in his move to Carlin" (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 10/9).

FOOD BUZZ: Domino's is the new "Proud Pizza Partner" of the Hornets and will sell its pizza at concession stands within Spectrum Center beginning with tonight's preseason game against the Heat. Under the new deal, Domino's receives the ability to use Hornets logos and marks, along with menu board branding, in-game promotional features and mobile promotions throughout the season. The Hornets and Domino's also will partner on a ticket donation program for school (Hornets).

GETTING COMFY: The NHL Panthers have partnered with City Furniture in a multiyear deal that has created the City Lounge by City Furniture at BB&T Center. Located on the patio outside, the new space features furniture, tables and interactive games for fans to enjoy prior to games, concerts or events. City Furniture will now be the presenting sponsor of the Panthers' "Heroes Among Us" program (Panthers).
