Facility Notes

CenturyLink Field "unveiled a new lighting system designed to enhance the fan and visitor experience." The new system "showcases the rooftop and facade with energy efficient LED lighting." The system "shifts colors from Seahawks green to blue and can be adjusted for other occasions such as art performances, and holidays" (NBCSPORTSNORTHWEST.com, 10/7).

HERE TO STAY: Fans in Boston "aren't happy with one aspect of the upgrades" to TD Garden, which "replaced its old black and gold seating with new all-black seating over the summer." Fans are upset over the "amount of legroom -- or lack thereof." The new seating "added about 500 seats to the upper level, so TD Garden probably won't do much to improve the amount of legroom between rows" (NBCSPORTSBOSTON.com, 10/9).

TRADING SPACES: The Friday's Front Row Sports Grill at Miller Park will be "re-branded as 'Restaurant To Be Named Later.'" The name is a "riff on the 'player to be named later' frequently used as currency in MLB player trades." The restaurant "will remain in operation in the Hot Corner entrance at Miller Park until early December before the space is closed for the conversion." It will reopen in mid-January and be "open throughout the year" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 10/9).
