Steinmiller's tenure encompasses the four eras of Bucks ownershipBUCKS

Fiserv Forum Exec VP/Operations JOHN STEINMILLER is "beginning his 50th season" with the team, and he is a "living link to almost every bit of Bucks history." Once he started with the team full-time, Steinmiller has "never missed a game at home." He has "witnessed and worked at 2,107 Bucks home, regular season and playoff games, and hundreds more on the road." Steinmiller's tenure "encompasses the four eras of Bucks ownership." When asked how long the 70-year-old Steinmiller will continue with the team, President PETER FEIGIN said, "He can do it for as long as he wants to as long as he has passion for it and as long as he is having fun. He will never appreciate how valuable he is to the organization" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 10/8).

LEGAL MATTERS: A Connecticut casino operated by the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority "filed a revised complaint" yesterday against EUGENE MELNYK "seeking payments for debts the Senators owner allegedly incurred" at the casino in '17. Melnyk paid for his $900,000 debt through "five separate drafts that TD Bank declined to honour." In its initial suit, the gaming authority "sought repayment of the debt, along with $200,000 or so in interest" (OTTAWA CITIZEN, 10/8)....The Univ. of Minnesota-Duluth and former women's hockey coach SHANNON MILLER have "reached a settlement in a long-running discrimination lawsuit." Attorneys for Miller and the school said that the deal "has not yet been memorialized in a signed written document" (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 10/8)....Real Salt Lake "filed for the dismissal of the lawsuit brought against the club by former coach MIKE PETKE." The filing "argues that Petke's conflict with RSL over his firing and the remaining money on his contract should be arbitrated" among him, the club and MLS Commissioner DON GARBER (SALT LAKE TRIBUNE, 10/8).

NAMES: PRESIDENT TRUMP called Vikings QB KIRK COUSINS on Sunday afternoon to "congratulate him after the Vikings' 28-10 win against the Giants." The "brief conversation included talk of Trump's upcoming rally Thursday in Minneapolis, but Cousins is not planning to attend" (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 10/8)....Lions CB DARIUS SLAY and his mother, STEPHANIE LOWE, last week helped "serve about 30 first responders with a Thanksgiving-style meal as part of a Campbell's Chunky Soup NFL promotion" to surprise Detroit's "unsung heroes, including gifting them tickets to a game later this season" (DETROIT NEWS, 10/7)....Fox Sports' CHARLES WOODSON was "one of the headliners in the nine-person class" inducted into the Michigan Sports HOF on Saturday. It was "supposed to be a 10-person class," but Turner's GRANT HILL "couldn't make it." His induction was delayed until next year (DETROIT NEWS, 10/6)....Warriors G STEPHEN CURRY has invested in Guild Education, a company that provides educational opportunities for U.S. workers (Guild Education)....Capitals C ALEX OVECHKIN threw out the first pitch at Nationals Park last night ahead of NLDS Game 4 against the Dodgers (WASHINGTON POST, 10/8).
