Guido is heading to New Jersey this weekend to talk with the football team at his old high school GETTY IMAGES

49ers President AL GUIDO is scheduled to meet with the football team of Washington Township High School (N.J.), from which he graduated in '98, prior to the school's game Friday night. He will "have dinner with the team, visit during meetings and give a pre-game talk." Guido is also "slated to participate in a pre-game ceremony and coin flip." It will be the "first time he's stepped foot in the stadium" since '99 (Bergen RECORD, 9/27).

TALK OF THE TOWN: The San Jose MERCURY NEWS profiled real estate mogul LEW WOLFF, who has "co-owned or developed some of the most iconic buildings in downtown San Jose." Wolff said of the role the Sharks play in the revival of downtown San Jose, "The Sharks coming to town was crucial. Before the Sharks, people didn’t know where San Jose was. [Former San Jose Mayor] TOM MCENERY deserves a lot of credit to get the Sharks to San Jose. After the Sharks got here, San Jose was in the news every day during the season." He said of the Earthquakes fit in San Jose, "The Earthquakes stadium is one of the most fun places to go to. It’s a great family atmosphere. Obviously, it’s significant for soccer. But I think there is room for a larger fan base. It helps with the identity of San Jose" (San Jose MERCURY NEWS , 9/26).

NAMES: Golfer MARIAH STACKHOUSE was "heavily involved" in the LPGA's latest installment of its "Drive On" campaign, which "focuses on sharing the inspiring stories of its players." Stackhouse in the new 30-second spot says, "This is for every girl who doesn’t look like those who have come before, but may look like those who will follow." Stackhouse became the "seventh African-American to play on the LPGA when she earned her status as a rookie" in '17 (GOLFWEEK.com, 9/25)....Courty music duo HALEY & MICHAELS shot the music video for their song, "Hail Mary," at Levi's Stadium. 49ers VP & Exec Producer ROB ALBERINO, who directed and produced the video, invited SHANNON HALEY and RYAN MICHAELS to "perform at halftime" of the Browns-49ers "MNF" matchup on Oct. 7 (AP, 9/27)....ESPN’s VICTOR CRUZ “brought three current and former” NFL Giants players to the Boys & Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic on Tuesday to “celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.” Cruz was joined by Giants G WILL HERNANDEZ, K ALDRICK ROSAS and former NFLer JONATHAN CASILLAS (PATERSON PRESS, 9/26)....U.S. Supreme Court Justice SONIA SOTOMAYOR “threw out the ceremonial first pitch Thursday” before the Phillies-Nationals game (NBCSPORTSWASHINGTON.com, 9/27).
