West Coast Conference Adds CBS Sports, Extends ESPN Deal

The West Coast Conference extended its agreement with ESPN through the '27 season and entered into a "new multiyear arrangement with CBS Sports Network that debuts this season," according to Jim Meehan of the Spokane SPOKESMAN-REVIEW. Seventeen WCC regular-season games will be "televised on ESPN's family of networks as well as the quarterfinals, semifinals and championship game of the WCC Tournament." ESPN will "continue to televise the WCC women's tournament title game and a selection of women's games and/or Olympic sports contests during the eight-year agreement." CBSSN will "air a minimum of nine WCC games annually" (Spokane SPOKESMAN-REVIEW, 9/20). In Utah, Darnell Dickson notes the WCC adding another network "means more options, and that's always a good thing" (Provo DAILY HERALD, 9/20).
