Devils Name Jake Reynolds Team President; Weber Promoted
Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment CRO JAKE REYNOLDS today was promoted to Devils President, where he will take over for HUGH WEBER, who "served as president of the team and Prudential Center" since August '13, according to Chris Ryan of the Newark STAR-LEDGER. Reynolds, a '19 SBJ "Forty Under 40" honoree, will oversee all business, revenue, strategy and operations for the franchise. He has "worked as an executive within the organization for the past seven years." Meanwhile, Weber was promoted to HBSE President. Both Reynolds and 76ers President CHRIS HECK will report to Weber. HBSE was founded in '17 by co-Managing Partners JOSH HARRIS and DAVID BLITZER, and the two have "steadily altered their executive positions within their respective organizations." The promotions of Reynolds and Weber are "another step in that direction." Weber will still have a "close hand in the operations of the Devils" (NJ.com, 9/19). Weber on Twitter this morning wrote, "Proud to pass the torch to one of the most authentic, culture-focused and fan-minded executives in the industry, during a historic period in @NJDevils legacy.
