Twitch Signs On As Founding Partner Of Allegiant Stadium

Twitch has bought a founding-partner sponsorship at the Raiders’ new Allegiant Stadium, and it will use the asset in part to further bridge traditional sports and esports. Terms were not revealed for the deal, which was brokered by Legends Global Partnerships. Assets revolve around a new Twitch-branded lounge in the lower level of the stadium that will be used for esports competitions among other events from the Amazon-owned streaming platform. Twitch says that the lounge will have things like streamer stations with game consoles and equipment to stream digitally, plus viewing screens. Twitch is not immediately releasing details on what specific esports events -- and other events -- will be held there, but COO Sara Clemens said in a release: “We are constantly looking for new ways to engage with our community online and (in real life). Being a founding partner at Allegiant Stadium is a perfect opportunity for Twitch to converge our passionate gaming and live esports community with the world of traditional sports." Credit One Bank was announced last month as another founding partner of the stadium, which is near The Strip in Las Vegas and opens in ’20. The deal marks Twitch’s first sports venue sponsorship.
