ESPN Launches New Ad Celebrating Emotional Milestones In Sports

ESPN is working with Arts & Letters Creative Co., Richmond, for the first time and "launched a new spot that reveals a profound truth about sports well beyond the scores and stats," according to Doug Zanger of ADWEEK. The anthemic 60-second spot "isn't necessarily earth-shattering from a structural standpoint," but the "real power is in the choices made." Coco Gauff's win over Venus Williams at Wimbledon, the USWNT taking home their fourth World Cup trophy and Steelers LB Ryan Shazier's "incredible path to walking again after a devastating injury" are but a "few moments that transcend sports." But there are also "many moments that honor the sacrifices that athletes and coaches make, and it's well worth capturing those, too" (ADWEEK.com, 9/4).
