Buyers & Sellers: Mike Trout Lands $9.15M Newport Beach Mansion

Angels CF MIKE TROUT has paid $9.15M for a "massive mansion" in Newport Beach, Calif. The home spans 9,000 square feet and features six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Four sets of French doors "expand the space to a wraparound deck with views of the harbor, city and ocean -- about two miles away." An elevator "navigates the three-story floor plan" (L.A. TIMES, 8/14). The backyard has a "covered lanai for outdoor entertaining, a built-in barbecue, and a swimming pool" (ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER, 8/13).

MOVING ON: Former MLS player JERMAIN JONES has "unloaded his compound" in Calabasas, Calif., for $4.95M. The equestrian estate, encompassing more than 12 acres, has a 7,500-square-foot main house, guesthouse, a cabana, a horse stall and an art studio. There is also a "saltwater swimming pool with a spa, an outdoor kitchen, a vegetable garden and a playground." A full-size soccer field "sits at the far end of the property" (L.A. TIMES, 8/15).

BUYERS & SELLERS: Clippers Senior Advisor JERRY WEST has put his Bay Area home up for sale at $1.68M. The home features "four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms in 3,541 square feet." Designer tile floors and 22-foot ceilings are found "throughout the open floor plan" (L.A. TIMES, 8/13)....Jets RB TY MONTGOMERY has sold his home in Howard., Wisc., for $685,000. The 5,641-square-foot house includes five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a "four-stall heated garage" (GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE, 8/14).
