WOMEN'S WEAR DAILY's Obi Anyanwu noted apparel brand Flag & Anthem has "tapped" NFL Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey as a "brand ambassador." McCaffrey described the brand's fall campaign photo shoot in Colorado as "cool" and "easy." Both McCaffrey and F&A co-Founder & COO Brad Gartman are "interested in working on product together" (WWD.com, 8/11).

CLOSING TIME: The '19 Walk-On’s Independence Bowl will be the "third and final game with Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar as the title sponsor," as this season marks the third and "final year" of the partnership between the bowl game and the Louisiana-based restaurant chain (ARKLATEXHOMEPAGE.com, 8/9). The original deal was for five years, with an opt-out after three (THE DAILY).

STAYING THE COURSE: H&R Block, which last ran a Super Bowl ad in '17, "has no plans to return to the big game." H&R Block CMO Vinoo Vijay said, “I don’t see us pursuing it this year,” adding the company has been able “to get scale and reach in other ways" (ADAGE.com, 8/9).
