Ravens Hope Volunteer Ticket Sales Team Creates New Opportunities

The Ravens have launched a program that will see a "volunteer ticket sales" team deploy a "small group of devoted fans tasked with finding new opportunities to sell season tickets and group packages," according to Amanda Yeager of the BALTIMORE BUSINESS JOURNAL. The team said that "Ravens Scouts" will "mine their networks, connecting with family, friends and colleagues to help the team broaden its reach." The initiative is the latest measure the Ravens are taking to "bolster its season ticket sales as the public's ticket-buying habits change." The team has "renewed more than 90% of its season tickets" for '19-20. The Ravens will have "more than 60,000 returning season ticketholders this year and rank among the top 10 NFL fan bases." Ravens Scouts "won't be paid for their efforts but will be rewarded with team-related perks." The inaugural group of 24 people has a roster that "features some members of the Greater Baltimore business community." Ravens Senior VP/Ticket Sales & Operations Baker Koppelman "hopes to grow the Ravens Scouts program over time to between 75 and 100 members" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 8/8).
